Welcoming.....

Well,
I write a lot. If you've known me since the age of four you'll have some inkling as to how words have had a place in every aspect of my life (studying English lit and languages) and created me as a person. I can't imagine a world without language, without the smell of newly printed books or the hours lost in other worlds. I formed stories in my head before I could read or write, and while I don't churn it out like I used to, in times of pain or great joy, pieces are born out of thin air and appear on the page. I'll mostly put smaller pieces here, but in a few short weeks a four part novel I've been working on for seven years will be available on Amazon which makes me so excited I'd better change the subject before I get all dizzy thinking about my brainchild in print.
Without further ado, I present a selection of back poems and short pieces from the last few years. Some of them are not very cheery but I believe that my most powerful works are born in times of tragedy and suffering. I'll also post links to articles I've written for witchvox.com. Please take a moment to visit my sister blog,

while my weaving of words changes from tangled threads into poems, articles and short stories. This semester I'm taking a creative writing module so feedback from what comes out of it is much appreciated! Thanks readers,
Sophie
